Community Guidelines

Our community guidelines exist to ensure Closet Time remains a welcoming space for everyone. All users are expected to follow these rules:

1. Be Respectful

Treat every member with kindness and respect. Fashion is personal — celebrate different styles and perspectives. Constructive feedback is welcome; negativity and cruelty are not.

2. No Harassment or Bullying

Harassment, bullying, intimidation, and threats of any kind are strictly prohibited. This includes targeting someone based on their appearance, identity, race, gender, sexuality, religion, or any other characteristic.

3. No Explicit or Inappropriate Content

Do not post nudity, sexually suggestive content, graphic violence, or any content that is not appropriate for a general audience. Closet Time is a fashion community — keep it focused on style.

4. No Spam or Scams

Do not post spam, misleading content, or fraudulent marketplace listings. This includes fake accounts, bot activity, vote manipulation, and any deceptive practices.

5. Respect Intellectual Property

Only post content you own or have the right to use. Do not steal or repost other people's photos, designs, or creative work without proper permission and credit.

Reporting

How to Report

If you see something that violates our Community Guidelines, you can report it directly within the app:

Tap the three-dot menu on any post, profile, or comment
Select "Report"
Choose the reason for your report
Add any additional details (optional)
Submit your report

What Happens After You Report

Every report is reviewed by our moderation team, typically within 24 hours. Depending on the severity of the violation, we may:

Remove the content
Issue a warning to the user
Temporarily suspend the user's account
Permanently ban the user

All reports are confidential. The reported user will not know who filed the report.

Blocking

How to Block a User

You can block any user from their profile page by tapping the three-dot menu and selecting "Block." You can also block users directly from a report flow.

What Blocking Does

The blocked user can no longer view your profile or content
They cannot send you messages or interact with your posts
Their content will no longer appear in your feed or Showtime
Any existing follows between you are removed
They will not be notified that they have been blocked

Privacy Controls

You have full control over your privacy on Closet Time:

Private Account — Only approved followers can see your closet and outfits
Showtime Privacy — Choose whether your Showtime submissions are visible to everyone or just followers
Message Controls — Choose who can send you direct messages
Activity Status — Hide your online status from other users
Data Controls — Manage what data is used for AI features and analytics

Account Security

Keep your account secure with these best practices:

Use a strong, unique password that you don't use on other services
Enable two-factor authentication in Settings for an extra layer of protection
Never share your login credentials with anyone
Be cautious of phishing attempts — Closet Time will never ask for your password via email or DM
If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password immediately and contact our support team

Under 18 Safety

We take the safety of younger users seriously. If you are under 18:

Certain social features may be restricted for your protection
We recommend using a private account
Never share personal information such as your address, school, or phone number in your profile or posts
Talk to a parent or guardian if you encounter anything that makes you uncomfortable
You must be at least 13 to use Closet Time
